Temperatures may hit a hot high of 45°C in the UAE’s internal regions today, with haze and humidity to continue, the UAE’s weatherman has warned.

“Hot to relatively hot and hazy weather in general, with a probability of some clouds over eastern areas by afternoon,” the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said in its daily weather forecast this morning.

“The winds will be light to moderate in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust over some areas,” the NCMS weather forecast said, adding that the “relative humidity is likely to increase over some coastal areas during night and early morning [tomorrow].”

Motorists are being advised to remain cautious on the road as the dust could impede visibility at times, leading to accidents.

The UAE has been experiencing hazy weather over the past couple of days, and according to the NCMS forecast for the next two days, this haziness will remain in the air.

Coastal areas in the country could see temperatures soaring up to 40°C while the high forecasted for the UAE’s mountainous regions remains a more moderate 34°C.

Monday will also see “[h]ot to relatively hot and hazy weather in general,” according to the NCMS, with moderate winds that may cause “blowing dust over some areas.” A similar forecast is in store for Tuesday although temperatures might cool down a bit.

“Slightly hazy weather in general, temperatures tends to fall,” the NCMS is forecasting for Tuesday. “The winds will [be] moderate to fresh in general, causing blowing dust and dust in-suspension.”
