UAE Weekend Weather: Temperature to touch 47° C

Day time weather across the UAE is set to rise during the coming week, especially during the weekend with temperatures set to peak at 47° C in internal areas. 

Coastal areas will, however, continue to remain relatively cooler with peak temperatures hovering around 34° C to 38° C.

A forecast for the next three days by the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology also indicates a rise in relative humidity and early morning mist in several parts of the country. Beachgoers have been warned that the sea could be slightly rough on Friday afternoon. 

"Sea will be slight to moderate at first, becoming rough by afternoon & evening in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman sea," a forecast for Friday by NCMS said. The condition is expected to increase on Saturday. "Sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate, rough by night in Oman sea," it adds.

Relative humidity is set to increase during night and early morning over some north central areas with a chance of mist and fog formation. The lowest morning temperature in the UAE on Thursday was 22° C.

Friday could also witness a slight increase in cloud cover associated with light to moderate winds at first, becoming fresh Northwesterly by afternoon and evening, especially over the sea and associated with blowing dust/sand over open areas, the NCMS forecast says.
