When friends attack: woman kidnapped, raped

A Russian investor and a Tajik driver have been accused of locking up aTurkmenistan woman in their house and forcibly having sex with her. 

NA, 26, testified before the Prosecution that she has been in the country for one-and-a-half years and that MGB, 41, investor, has been providing her with transport for the past eight months.

On February 1, she asked him to pick her up from Naif area and drop her home at Al Riffa.

Instead he drove her to Century Mall in Al Hamriyah and asked her to have sex. When she refused, he beat her up and dragged her by her hair into a villa where he stays and locked her up in a room. He consumed alcohol and had sex with her twice, she told the Prosecution.

The following day, his friend TK, 26, driver, had sex with her, she said. When TK left, she told NA that her friends would be looking for her. So he dropped her near her house, she testified.

Mohammed Othman, policeman, testified that he met the victim in Iranian Hospital to take her complaint. The medical report from the hospital prove that the victim sustained injuries and bruises on her face, belly and back. Forensic reports also show that she had been raped.

The first accused denied having forcible sex and claimed that they had consensual sex but confessed to beating her because she abused his family and his country. The second accused denied he accusations completely.

The telephone calls she made to police while she was confined proved that she was asking for police help and that she was in a very bad situation. The calls were recorded and submitted in court.

The court adjourned the case until next month.
