Woman accused of travelling on another's ID

A Yemini woman used another's ID card to visit Oman, the Dubai Court of First Instance heard on Monday.

According to a 'Gulf News' report, 27-year-old Emirati policeman took SS, 21, on his sister's ID card to Oman to attend a wedding.

The Emirati is charged with aiding and abetting SS.

The policeman's sister testified her brother told her that he had used her ID card to allow SS to go with him to Oman to attend a wedding.

Prosecution records said the couple was exposed at Hatta border point, where a policewoman noticed that the photo on the ID card did not resemble SS.

The case is adjourned until September 14.
