Two Arab nationals were killed in separate traffic accidents in the UAE over the weekend.
A 23-year-old Arab woman died and nine others were injured on Saturday early morning in at the Culture Roundabout in Sharjah. The accident resulted in a car pile-up as a number of vehicles collided with one another in the impact.
Police patrols were at the scene no sooner than they received a tip-off at about 2.30am and transferred the injured to Kuwait and Al Qasimi Hospitals, while the young woman succumbed to her wounds, reported ‘Al Khaleej’.
Meanwhile, in another accident in Ras Al Khaimah, on Friday evening an Arab national died on the spot after he was run over by an Emirati, reported Arab dailies.
The accident that took place at about 7.30pm on Al Muntaser Road in Al Nakheel area of Ras Al Khaimah, when the Arab man was crossing the road.
Both the cases are being investigated.
