Woman jumps from 3rd floor of Dubai mall

A 23-year-old Indian girl jumped from the third floor at Deira City Centre mall and police said she could have been upset by a rift with her father.

The girl, who was carrying a camera, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after hitting the ground just near the car park B at the sprawling mall on Sunday night.

“She was admitted to the intensive care unit with serious injuries. Police ruled out criminal act,” the Arabic language daily Emarat Al Youm said.

It quoted police sources as saying the unnamed girl is believed to have problems with her father, who was summoned for investigation.

Investigations are on.

Vehicle rams into shop, injuring two

A freak accident in Ras Al Khaimah injured two people.

A two-vehicle collision resulted in one of the vehicles swerving and ramming into a shop in Al Sharisha area in Julphar, according to an 'Al Bayan' report.

Two people were injured in the accident.

Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence rushed to the site upon receiving information.
