Three Asians raped a Chinese woman in Fujeirah then murdered her after she resisted their attempt to rob her. When they searched her body, they found only Dh80 with her.
A criminal court in the emirate sentenced one defendant to six years in prison and 100 lashes, to be followed by deportation, on charges of indulging in vice and drinking alcohol.
It sentenced another defendant to one year in jail, 80 lashes and deportation on the same charges.
“The court said it would later issue its final verdict on the three defendants on murder charges,” Alittihad newspaper said.
