The Zayed Giving Initiative has launched the international youth giving forum in Zanzibar with attendance of youth activists from across the world.
The event aims to promote the culture of voluntary work and giving as well as motivate public and private institutions to adopt humanitarian initiatives that target youth, enabling them perform community service towards social and economic sustainable development.
The forum targets youth to develop skills, while empowering them to perform voluntary and humanitarian activities, both locally and internationally.
Leaders in charge will promote the culture of giving and charity work world over, without discrimination on the basis of colour, race or religion.
It was organised in response to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s declaration of 2017 being the Year of Giving.
The participants discussed the lessons learned from the Zayed Giving Initiative's humanitarian mission to help one million children in the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, Indonesia, Morocco and India.
Young entrepreneurs from the UAE, Egypt, India, Pakistan and South Africa were also honoured during the forum.
