Fewa invites bids for water-well field project

The UAE's Federal Electricity and Water Authority, or fewa, has invited bids for the construction of a new deep-water well field in Al Surra area in Umm Al Quwain (UAQ), in northern UAE.

The Dh20-million project which includes 40 water wells with a combined capacity of 10000 gallon per hour or 9 MGD (million gallons per day) is among Fewa’s plans to meet water supply shortage in the emirate.

An assembly pipeline system will carry water from the water-well field to the main line feeding two desalination plants.

The project will be centrally controlled by the desalination plant in Umm Al Quwain.
