It has in fact been a while since someone ‘flash-mobbed’ a public place in Dubai.
So it did come as a pleasant surprise for visitors to the on-going Dubai Food Festival.
Families and children visiting the food court at Mall of the Emirates last weekend had a first-hand experience of the fun ambience that has been created during the food extravaganza when they were pleasantly surprised by a Flash Mob, who staged specially choreographed acts.
As visitors savoured the treats at the mall’s food court, the mob broke into song-and-dance sequences, drawing applause from guests .
Leading malls in Dubai are making it a memorable experience for visitors during Dubai Food Festival with a line-up of exciting food-themed entertainment, activities and in-mall competitions, as well as offering them the chance to win fabulous prizes. Among the participating malls are The Dubai Mall, Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre, Mall of the Emirates, Mercato, Town Centre, Jumeirah and Dubai Marina Mall.
The 23-day inaugural Dubai Food Festival, which runs until March 15, is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and is aimed at positioning Dubai as the gastronomy capital of the region.
