Four jailed for life for human trafficking

The Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal issued a verdict of life imprisonment and deportation to four accused, for human trafficking.

The Court sentenced one of the 10 defendants to seven years of imprisonment while another will have to serve a 5-year term, reports Al Ittihad.

All those convicted will be deported after serving their sentence.

The Court also ordered the authorities to destroy the liquor and money confiscated from the suspects, according to the paper.

The case was returned from the Court of Cassation in Abu Dhabi after it rejected the rulings issued by the Court of Appeal, which had acquitted the three defendants.
