Girls must check legitimacy of jobs before coming to UAE: official
Foreign women and their families should make sure job offers are legitimate before travelling to the UAE, an official has warned.
Lt. Col. Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jammal, Director of the Dubai Police Human Trafficking Crime Control Centre, cautioned that girls should not trust any claims to provide jobs that do not include official work contracts, adding that foreign job seekers should only deal with certified companies.
He added that the centre plans to publicise human trafficking stories to educate the public about such crimes, noting that hotline phone number 8007283 remains available to assist victims of human trafficking.
Al Jammal noted that the Dubai Police and National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking alerts those seeking employment about the hotline phone number at Dubai International Airport.
