His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Bishop Julius, Special Representative of Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, at Al Bateen Palace.
Bishop Julius, who is also General Bishop of Old Cairo Churches and Supervisor of Coptic Churches in the Gulf region, extended greetings to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. He wished for further progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
He also conveyed the Ramadan greetings and thanks from Pope Tawadros II to the UAE leadership, namely President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for ensuring respect and freedom of worship for all residents, and followers of the Coptic Church in particular, in an atmosphere of tolerance, co-existence and peace.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed Bishop Julius's visit and reaffirmed that the UAE, under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, continues to pursue an unwavering approach to entrench the values of tolerance, co-existence, co-operation and mutual respect.
Those who attended the meeting include H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and Jaber Mohamed Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.
