Gen. Mohamed mourns Sheikha Fatima

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has offered condolences to His Highness. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah and His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, on death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, who is the mother of Ruler of Fujairah and sister of Ajman Ruler.

Sheikh Mohamed offered his condolences when he visited Al Rumaila Palace in the presence of  Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, also offered condolences along with Sheikh Mohamed.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi extended his heartfelt condolences, praying to the Almighty to rest her soul in peace and bestow solace and patience on her family.

UAE laid solid foundations for military: Gen. Mohamed

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, emphasised that the UAE, led by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has laid solid foundations for its advanced military through highly-qualified personnel who receive advanced technical and scientific training in all military services and regarding the use of all military equipment.
 
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed made these remarks as he attended the 44th graduation ceremony of Cadet Pilot Officers, the 11th course of Air Officers, the fourth course of Female Officers and the second course of Air Support Officers, at Khalifa bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain.
 
"The UAE seeks to bolster and protect the national process of development and building through armed forces that have the ability and capabilities to serve as a protective shield for national gains," added Sheikh Mohamed.
 
He expressed satisfaction with the new group of Emirati men and women participating in the military parade with high morale and skills that reflect their advanced academic and practical training. This, he noted, demonstrates their high preparedness for playing a role in serving the country and their passion for catching up with their colleagues in the air, land and sea forces who have already had the honour of protecting the nation and its gains and achievements.
 
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed hailed the training and scientific capabilities of Khalifa bin Zayed Air College and the other military training institutions.
 
Upon arrival at the college for the graduation ceremony,  Sheikh Mohamed was greeted by Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Commander of the Air Forces and Air Defence, and Staff Brigadier Sami Saeed Salim Al Nuaimi, Commander of Khalifa bin Zayed Air College.
 
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Eastern Region, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, sheikhs, senior officials, high ranking military commanders, diplomats and the families of the graduates.

The UAE national anthem was played while Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed inspected the line of the new graduates, then verses from the Holy Quran were recited.
 
A squadron of fighters, trainers, transport and air support aircraft of the UAE Armed Forces performed an airshow during the ceremony.

Later, the graduates took oath before Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and vowed allegiance to the UAE and its President.

Gen. Mohamed directs building permanent heritage village

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has given a directive for building a permanent heritage village in Al Wathba City at the site of Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2014, taking place from  November 20 to  December 12, said Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, Chairman of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation and the chairman of the higher organising committee of the festival.

Sheikh Sultan greeted the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion, thanked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for his supportive initiative and  Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs for following up on the event.

He hailed the success of this year's edition of the festival which attracted more than 60,000 Emirati and expatriate families.

Sheikh Sultan noted that the UAE leaders who provide full support to the country's rich heritage are walking in the steps of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The festival celebrates the UAE’s culture and heritage, showcases the rich diversity of its traditions and provides an educational platform for the public. It also illustrates that the UAE’s development and progress has not been a coincidence but a legacy of the forefathers’ inspiring achievements.
