Hamdan meets Queen Rania of Jordan

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, met with Queen Rania Abdullah of Jordan, and Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, on the sidelines of the Global Women's Forum in Dubai which opened today.

The meetings, which took place at the Jumeirah Majlis, also included the official speakers of the two-day event.

Sheikh Hamdan welcomed the guests and wished them success in their efforts to achieve their goals in empowering women and their positive participation towards UAE's sustainable development.

The Crown Prince of Dubai and the guests discussed women's issues at the regional and international levels and ways of providing logistical support to support women on various sectors and levels.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, along with a number of officials.

Dubai Crown Prince, Queen Rania visit Discovery Exhibition

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Queen Rania of Jordan today visited the Discovery Exhibition, co-organised by Dubai Women Establishment and Women’s Forum for the Economy on the sidelines of the Global Women’s Forum Dubai.

They toured the exhibition which feature a variety of hubs, including the Social Impact Hub by telecommunication company du, and the Energy Hub by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) - the main partners of the event.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri, the managing director and chair of the board of Dubai Women Establishment, briefed Sheikh Hamdan and Queen Rania on the exhibition, the signature creativity space at the heart of Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society meetings.

It provides a unique opportunity for delegates to meet, share, learn and be inspired through interactive sessions and workshops, and will build on the topics explored throughout the main plenary sessions of the forum, through 12 creative hubs and corners.

These include Happiness, Women and Science, Maison Guerlain, Entrepreneurship, Art and Culture, Social Impact, Energy, Women on Boards, Rising Talents, Women in Media, CEO Champions and the Scandinavian Delegation.
