Khalifa honours Japanese envoy
The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred the Medal of Independence of the First Order on Ambassador of Japan, Yoshihiko Kamo, in recognition of his efforts that contributed to promoting and bolstering the friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Japan in all spheres.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, presented Ambassador Kamo with the medal, at his office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
He congratulated the Japanese ambassador on the honour and wished for success for him in his future assignments.
On his part, Ambassador Kamo expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Khalifa and praised him for his wise policy and the notable role he plays in the region and internationally.
The Japanese ambassador also thanked the UAE officials, and MoFA officials in particular, and for their cooperation and making his assignment in the UAE successful.
