Khalifa returns home from Pakistan

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan returned home to the UAE following a private visit to Pakistan during which he met with Pakistan’s President Asef Ali Zardari.

Upon arrival, Sheikh Khalifa was received by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Also present to receive the President were Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Amiri Flights Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chamberlain of the Diwan of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Etihad Airways Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Executive Council Member Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Dr Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Public Works Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, a number of sheikhs and senior officials.

Returning along with UAE President were the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Advisor Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, the President’s advisor Mohammed Habroush Al Suweidi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi and other sheikhs and senior officials.

Mohammed attends Al Tayer's son wedding

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended a lunch banquet hosted by Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer to celebrate his son Humaid’s marriage to the daughter of Mohammed Al Murr bin Huraiz.

The function, which was held at Zaabeel Grand Hall in Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) today, was attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security General Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The lunch banquet also saw the attendance of Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Director General of Dubai Department of Information Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Public Works Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Director of Dubai Ruler's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, a number of other sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries and parents of the bride and the groom.
