Maktoum receives CEO of Ericsson Group

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, on Wednesday received Hans Vestberg, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ericsson Group at the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,
 
Sheikh Maktoum welcomed Vestberg and his accompanying delegation. He expressed his happiness at the visit, pointing out the focussed and constructive efforts to achieve the vision of the wise leadership, which is aimed at securing an ideal work environment, supported by an infrastructure in accordance with the latest international standards.
 
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues regarding Dubai Plan 2021 and Dubai's sustainable plan to transform it into a smart city. They also tackled the Dubai innovation strategy and the future vision of Ericsson Group in this regard.
 
On his part, President and CEO of the Ericsson Group expressed his admiration at the impressive development in the UAE and Dubai in all fields, as well as the fact that companies and investors are given all facilities in all fields.
 
He also praised the facilitations provided to his company through its regional bureau in Dubai, as well as the relentless support to achieve the emirate's aspirations.

Among those who attended the meeting were Abdullah Al Shaibani, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the emirate of Dubai and other officials.
