His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, was welcomed to India on Thursday with a state visit arrival ceremony at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is in India on a three-day official visit, accompanied by a delegation of senior UAE officials.
Sheikh Mohamed was received at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Presidential Palace by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, and a number of senior Indian government officials. The national anthems of both the UAE and India played, followed by an inspection of the Guard of Honour by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed.
The ceremony concluded with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and the Indian Prime Minister shaking hands with the accompanying officials from both countries.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed shook hands with senior officials in the Indian government who came to receive him, while the Indian Prime Minister shook hands with the delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed, which included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Saqr bin Ghubash Saeed Ghubash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Bana, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of India, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Major-General Staff Pilot. Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alaw, Commander of Air Force and Air Defence, and a number of senior state officials.
The reception ceremony was also attended by a number of ministers and senior officials of the Republic of India and T.P. Seetharam, Ambassador of India to the UAE.
