His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Thursday attended a brainstorming session organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) at the Maha Desert Resort in Dubai.

The session was aimed at encouraging the contribution and participation of Dewa staff in drawing and implementing its policies and resolutions. The session was also held in response to Sheikh Mohammed's vision of unlocking  national talents and creative competencies in work and at production sites, besides in fields such as education. The event sought to probe ideas and observations of the employees which help Dewa in improving performance.

Sheikh Mohammed stopped for a while at each workshop for an insight into subjects under discussion.

The brainstorming activity featured five workshops tackling sustainability, smart city, innovation in customer service and happiness, research and development, and innovation.

Managing Director and CEO of Dewa Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer said the creativity lab was organised as part of Dewa's efforts to translate the directives of Sheikh Mohammed, which, he added, provided a roadmap for Dewa to undertake its responsibilities and duties in full, provide top class services to the customers and address challenges in the field.
