Mohammed bin Zayed performs Eid prayer

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, performed Eid Al Fitr prayers on Thursday morning at Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Praying alongside Sheikh Mohammed were Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Adviser, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Etihad Airways, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, other Sheikhs, senior civil and military officials, members of Arab and Muslim diplomatic corps, a group Emirati and resident worshipers.

Counsellor Al Sayed Ali Al Hashimi, Religious and Judicial Adviser at the Ministry for Presidential Affairs, who delivered the Eid sermon, asked Almighty Allah to bless and strengthen Muslims during their Eid, hailing the blessings that landed on Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan. He added that Eid is time for joy and solidarity among Muslims. 

He asked Allah to rest soul of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in eternal peace, and preserve the health of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.

After the prayers, Sheikh Mohammed and other sheikhs visited the tomb of late Sheikh Zayed, where they prayed over it, asking Allah for mercy.

Mohamed bin Zayed receives Eid Al Fitr well-wishers

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Thursday morning at Al Mushrif Palace a group of Eid Al Fitr well wishers.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed received the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers. He exchanged Eid greetings with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council and Abdullah Al Masaood, Chairman of the National Consultative Council.

They all expressed their sincere greetings on the occasion, wishing well to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed. 

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also accepted the greetings from a number of sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, senior armed forces commanders, senior police officers from the Ministry of Interior, officials of the Supreme Council for National Security, members of diplomatic corps accredited in the UAE, representative of international organisations, dignitaries, citizens and residents.

They all expressed their sincere greetings, wishing good health to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the UAE President as well.
