Mohammed bin Zayed receives Qatar Emir, Egypt President

Acting President of Egypt Adly Mansour arrived in the UAE Wednesday night on an official visit during which he will meet with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

President Mansour was received at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi by General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

President Mansour will be accompanied during his visit by an Honorary Mission headed by Justice Minister Dr Hadef bin Jawan Al Dhaheri.

The Acting President of Egypt visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

The Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi described the visit as an expression of the Egyptian government's appreciation of the UAE's political and economic support to Egypt after the 30th June revolution.

Mohammed bin Zayed, Qatar Emir hold talks

Earlier, yesterday General Sheikh Mohamed and H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, discussed the fraternal bilateral relations between their countries and peoples, and the avenues of mutual cooperation in light of mutual interest in promoting them in all spheres.

The discussions took place as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed received H.H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad and his delegation at the Emirates Palace.

Gen Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the Emir of Qatar to the UAE as his second home country, and expressed his pleasure at his visit which comes within the framework of bolstering and strengthening relations between the UAE and Qatar. He expressed best wishes for further progress for Qatar and for glory and prosperity for its people.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations, ways of activating mechanisms of cooperation between the two countries and advancing them to fruitful, constructive and wider avenues in fulfillment of the aspirations of their peoples, for further prosperity and well-being for the UAE and Qatar, and in the service of their common interests within the march of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

Gen Sheikh Mohamed affirmed that relations between the nationals and states of the Arabian Gulf are deeply rooted and solid as they derive their strength from the deep roots of their common historical heritage, the values of fraternity and the authentic Arab traditions.

He also affirmed that these relations will remain so and even grow stronger, thanks to the wisdom and cooperation of the leaders of the Gulf states and to the bonds of consanguinity and affinity between their peoples.

Gen Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said, "The high-level coordiantion and integration represent an utmost need in light of the current circumstances the region is going through, and give the U.A.E., Qatar and other Arab Gulf countries the stability and development they aspire for." He also affirmed that the unique standing fraternal relations between the UAE and Qatar are strong and are prevailed by fraternity, love and cooperation.

The meeting saw consultations and exchange of views between the two sides over the most important regional and international issues and latest developments.

For his part, the Emir of Qatar expressed his pleasure at visiting the UAE and his appreciation for the leadership and people of the UAE. He wished for further progress, glory and prosperity for them under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani underlined the fraternal bonds and relations between the peoples of Qatar and the U.A.E.

He also expressed his belief that the common destiny of the Arab states of the Gulf requires further cooperation, communication and mutual coordination.

Present at the meeting from the UAE. side were Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs and Head of the Honourary Mission accompanying the Emir of Qatar, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Juma Rashid Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the UAE to Qatar.

Present at the meeting from the Qatari side were Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, Chairman of Qatari Media, Khalid Al Atiyah, Foreign Minister, Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Trade, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Director of the Office of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, Assistant Director of the Office of the Prime Minister for International Affairs, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Othman, Ambassador of Qatar to the U.A.E, and Mohammed bin Nasser Al Faheed Al Hajeri, Director of Research and Studies at the Emiri Court.
