Mohammed issues executive directors' law

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued the human resources law for executive directors of Dubai Government in accordance with law No. 2 of 2015.
 
This law constitutes an organisational framework to regulate work relations between the executive directors at public agencies and departments with their deputies and assistant directors general.
 
The law includes powers and mechanisms that will help the executive directors at the Government of Dubai's departments, as well as the rules of functional categories and financial allocations for the executive directors and mechanisms for evaluating their performance, rehabilitation and development. The law also includes the provisions governing the transfer and secondment of executive directors. There are also a set of general regulatory provisions. The law is effective from the first of January, 2015.
 
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Court of Ruler of Dubai, said in a statement that the issuance of the human resources law for executive directors of Dubai Government "comes as complementary to the legislative system of human resources of the Dubai government and Human Resources Management Act for directors general, and before it the human resources staff management law for the Government of Dubai employees."
 
He added that the move comes in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed to consolidate the institutional spirit and regulatory coherence of the government sector's structure based on modernisation, sustainable competitiveness and efficiency in a changing world, driven by technology, creativity and innovation.
 
Amal Mohammed bin Udai, Director-General of Dubai Government Human Resources Department, said the issuance of the law "provides a legislative and regulatory philosophy, which supports the Government of Dubai in the development of government leaders and promotion of the public sector's ability to attract talented and leading competent cadres, and how to retain them.
 

Mohammed bin Rashid receives China's FM

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Wang Yi, China's Minister of Foreign Affairs,  and his delegation at Zabeel Palace on Saturday evening.

The visiting Chinese minister conveyed to Sheikh Mohammed an official invitation from the chairman of China's State Council to visit China. He accepted the invitation and expressed appreciation of the State Council's generous gesture.
 
Minister Yi also conveyed to Sheikh Mohammed the greetings of the chairman.
 
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and the Chinese minister explored a number of regional matters and ways of bolstering the historic friendship and cooperation between the leaderships and peoples of their two friendly countries.
 
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Chinese minister and expressed his confidence that the exchange of visits by the senior officials of the two countries would further strengthen the bilateral relations in all spheres and help realise the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries as well as their interest in elevating the relations to higher and more inclusive levels for the benefit of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
 
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Court of Dubai Ruler; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-general of Protocol and Hospitality Departments-Dubai, Omar Ahmed Adi Al Bitar, Ambassador of the UAE to China.
 
China's Ambassador to the UAE, Chang Hua, also attended the meeting.
 
Attends UAE President's Cup endurance race 
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, attended the UAE President's Cup endurance race, at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba on Saturday. 
 
Organised by the Emirates International Endurance Village at Al Wathba and with support from Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival, the 160-kilometre race was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
 
Emirati rider Mohammed Khalifa won the top position followed by rider Faris Suhail Ali Rashid Al Ghailani, while rider Saeed Ahmed Jaber came third. 158 riders took part in the race.
 
The first winner bagged Mercedes full option vehicle, the second won Ranger Rover, while the third went away with four wheel drive Nissan, in addition to Dh60, 000 each for those who completed the race.
