Mohammed merges Dubai Events, DTCM

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Law No. (1) of 2013 amending Law No. (30) of 2009 attaching the Establishment of Dubai Events and Promotions to the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The Law shall be effective from its date of issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette. 

The Law shall enable Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) to revitalise Dubai’s tourism, especially shopping tourism which characterizes the emirate.

Moreover, it shall boost the Establishment’s role in promoting various economic sectors and unifying policies, planning consensus and programs to establish Dubai’s position as a regional and international hub for organising events and festivals; in addition to providing one common umbrella to host all tourism events.

Mohammed receives Spanish Defence Minister, Berlin Mayor

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, received at Zabeel Palace Spanish Defence Minister Pedro Morenes Eulate and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting touched on bilateral relations and military cooperation.

Later, Sheikh Mohammed received the visiting Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Dubai and Berlin, particularly in tourism and investment domains.

The two meetings were attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Airlines and Group, Reem Al Hashemy, Minister of State, senior officials and diplomats.
