His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today received His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, and the delegation accompanying him.
Present were General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and King Hamad exchanged cordial talks on the overall situations in the region and the good fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples at various levels.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Adviser, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director- General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.
For the Bahraini side, the meeting was attended by the National Guard Commander, Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sheikhs, along with a number of Bahraini civilian and military officials.
Sheikh Mohammed hosted a lunch banquet in honour of King Hamad and his entourage.
Mohammed congratulates UAE communities on New Year
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has congratulated citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates on the advent of the New Year.
In his Twitter and Facebook accounts, His Highness hoped that 2014 will bring people of the UAE health, prosperity, progress and new achievements for Arab and Islamic nations.
Sheikh Mohammed tweeted: “The New Year is a chance to renew hopes, and I wish 2014 will be a year of realising great achievement for the UAE, its citizens and residents. I also wish a peaceful and prosperous year for the Arab and the Islamic world and for all people across the globe”.
