Mohammed returns to Dubai from Bahrain

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and his accompanying delegation concluded a visit to Bahrain.

Sheikh Mohammed was seen off at the Bahrain International Airport today by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, a number of sheikhs and top level Bahraini officials.

Endurance Cup

Earlier Sheikh Mohammed attended the Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship in Bahrain.
The 120-km race kicked off today morning with the participation of over 60 riders.

Also attending the race with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed were Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Sheikh Juma bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Ruler's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Director of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed Sultan Al Suwaidi, sheikhs, officials and a host of endurance race enthusiasts.

King Hamad honours His Highness Sheikh Mohammed

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, has conferred on His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Medal First Class.

The medal was bestowed on Sheikh Mohammed during the meeting with the King of Bahrain. The event was attended by the delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohammed, a number of sheikhs and Bahraini officials.

The conferring of the medal by the King of Bahrain on Sheikh Mohammed comes in recognition of his role in strengthening the existing fraternal ties between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pride about the honour, deeming it honour for UAE leadership and people. He added that it also reflects the depth of fraternal and social bonds between the two peoples.
 

Mohammed bin Rashid visits Bahrain's International Airshow Show

During his visit to Bahrain, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the 3rd edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS), which began on January 16 and runs until Saturday January 18.

During his tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the latest technologies in the field of air transport and military aviation industry, in addition to airport equipments and other services.

The Vice-President expressed his satisfaction at the immense participation and huge turnout by the countries and specialised companies in the field of civil and military aviation.

He added that the airshow has become a global market in the region, which saves time and effort for the region's countries to strike defence deals through this show and other specialised airshows, hosted by a number of countries in the region, especially the Dubai International Airshow.

During his tour, Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Lt. General Musbeh bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of His Highness the Vice-President, Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director of Dubai Protocol Department, Sheikhs, and a number of Bahraini officials.

The airshow is witnessing the participation of more than 100 government departments and international companies, including the Emirates Airlines and Al Fursan (The Knights), the UAE Aerobatic Display Team, which is showing aerobatic displays everyday.
