President receives Emir of Kuwait
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday received Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in Jasyora, Al Ain, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Sabah discussed the standing brotherly relations between the two countries and their peoples and ways to promote them in various spheres in service of their common interests and in the framework of coordination and consultations.
They also discussed the march of the Council of Arab States of the Gulf and joint Gulf action and exchanged views on the recent regional and international developments and matters of common concern.
Later, the President hosted a luncheon in honour of the Emir of Kuwait and his entourage.
The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who concluded his visit to the UAE on Saturday afternoon, had expressed his appreciation for His Highness Sheikh Khalifa's hospitality and warm welcome.
In attendance at the meeting from the UAE side were also Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region; Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor; Lt.General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs and Lt. Gen. Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, sheikhs and senior officials.
In attendance from the Kuwaiti side were Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti National Guard Sheikh Mishal, Ambassador of Kuwait to the UAE Salah Mohammed Al-Ba'ejan and a number of senior officials accompanying the Emir of Kuwait.
