Rulers perform Eid Al Adha prayer

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai performed Eid Al Adha prayer this morning at the Sheikh Rashid Mosque in Zabeel.

Performing the prayer along with Sheikh Mohammed were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Lands Department, senior officials, citizens and residents.

Dr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz, Senior Mufti at the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charity in Dubai, who led the prayer, delivered the Eid sermon in which he highlighted the significance of sacrifice in Eid Al Adha.

Shaikh Abdul Aziz prayed for good health and longevity to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and to Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

He also prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow eternal peace on the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the late Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Mohamed bin Zayed performs Eid Al Adha prayer in Abu Dhabi

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces performed Eid Al Adha prayer this morning at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Performing Eid Al Adha prayer along with Sheikh Mohamed were Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Etihad Airways, Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikhs, senior officials, diplomats, citizens and residents.

Shaikh Khalifa Al Dhaheri delivered Eid Al Adha sermon, highlighting the sacrifices made by the UAE martyrs and wounded servicemen. He said it was appropriate for all on this day to champion the values of forgiveness, benevolence and care for the poor, orphans, widows and sick, adding that the Eid is a happy occasion and Allah the Almighty will reward those whose deeds lead to the happiness of others.

Shaikh Abdul Aziz prayed to Allah to grant his blessings on the UAE leadership and to bestow eternal peace on the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Following the prayer, Sheikh Mohamed and other worshippers visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and read Surat Al Fatiha for his soul.

Rulers perform Eid Al Adha prayer

Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates today performed Eid Al Adha prayer in their respective emirates.

In Sharjah, HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah performed the prayer at Al Badee Mosque. Performing the prayer along with him were Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikhs, senior officials, dignitaries, citizens and residents.

HH Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman performed Eid prayer at the Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Mosque in Ajman. The prayer was also performed by Sheikhs Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents.

HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikhs and worshippers performed Eid prayer at the new Sheikh Zayed  Mosque in Fujairah.

Eid Al Adha prayer was also performed at the Grand Eid Mussala in Khuzam, Ras Al Khaimah, by HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, who was  joined Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, Sheikhs, officials, citizens and members of the Arab and Islamic community.

In Umm al-Qaiwain, HH Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikhs, officials, citizens and residents performed the Eid prayer at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Umm al-Qaiwain.

In the Western Region, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, performed Eid prayer at Qasr Liwa Mosque, while in Al Ain, Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of the Court of the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern region, performed the Eid prayer at Al Noor Mosque.

The Eid sermons highlighted the significance of Eid Al Adha and the sacrifices made by the UAE martyrs. Worshippers prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow the UAE leadership with good health and longevity and to grant victory to the UAE heroes in their quest to defend the people of Yemen.
