Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has congratulated the winner of the Arab Reading Challenge, Hafsa Al Dhanhani, from Fujairah.

"I am proud of the 300,000 students from the UAE who completed the second edition of the Arab Reading Challenge to read 50 books a year. And congratulation to the winner Hafsa Rashid Al Dhanhani," Sheikh Mohammed tweeted. "The more our kids read, the more optimistic we will be about the future of our country. We have a dream for enlightened generation, and my advice to every teacher to not give up this dream."

"Next week, we will celebrate with the 7 million students who participated in the challenge, and the 40,000 schools, and 75,000 teacher who support this dream," His Highness tweeted.

The Arab Reading Challenge was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid in September 2015. Representing the largest pan-Arab reading project, the challenge aims to promote a sustainable reading model through an integrated system of student-supervisor follow-ups and support, as well as monetary incentives for students, supervisors and schools. The project hopes to bring about a cultural renaissance in the Arab world by encouraging students.
