"2071 Zone is in line with the UAE Centennial Vision 2071 which aims to provide future generations in the UAE with a happier life in a better environment, and with greater opportunities, stronger communications and more influence in the world. All the large and medium foundations and innovative minds are welcome to be the key partners and drivers in this massive project, which the entire world would benefit from and would draw a brighter future for the region. The 2071 zone will be the interface in which creative individuals and organisations will present suitable solutions for the major challenges facing humanity and will design the world’s future," His Highness added.
According to the UAE’s Centennial Vision 2071, which constitutes a long-term governmental programme derived from the historic lecture for future generations by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the 2071 Zone represents the UAE’s contribution to the innovative future of humanity in which specialised labs, innovation units, venture capitalists, research and development centres, innovative individuals and more dynamic start-ups will participate, aiming to develop creative solutions for the advancement of humanity and to achieve the UAE’s Centennial Vision, with the assistance of recent innovations and achievements in technology.
The 2071 Zone is considered a headquarters of global smart companies, services and labs, located in Emirates Towers, as it will work to create innovative solutions and tools, in accordance with future requirements and technologies. The zone will also seek to unify efforts and initiatives that target the future and will represent an umbrella that joins all government accelerators, Dubai future accelerators and the World Youth Centre.
The project also targets large and medium foundations that own laboratories to design future technological visions, tools and solutions.
The "2071 Zone" name is derived from the UAE’s Centennial Vision 2071 that marks 100 years since the establishment of the United Arab Emirates. The Centennial Vision aims to invest in UAE youth and work towards making the UAE the best and most advanced nation in the world, through a comprehensive strategy designed to achieve the goals and outcomes on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the UAE in 2071.
The 2071 Zone is considered an innovative model presented by the UAE that could be implemented in any city where government and young minds meet to design the future.
