His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, returned on Saturday from the Holy Lands after performing the Umrah rituals.
He was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
Sheikh Mohammed had arrived on Friday in Jeddah, where he was received at the Airport by Prince Misha'l bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jeddah and a number of senior Saudi officials.
Sheikh Mohammed and his entourage then toured Makkah and visited the tombs of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and his disciples (Al-Sahaba) in Al-Madinah, and prayed over them (read al fataha).
Among those who performed Umrah along with Sheikh Mohammed were Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation, CEO of Emirates Group; Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of Dubai Ruler's Court; Lt. General Musbeh Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai's Office.
