An Iranian visitor allegedly smuggled and possessed about two kilograms of methamphetamine in his luggage bag, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
YBA, 44 was suspected and checked by the Customs on October 12.
Chief Inspector Obaid Mohammed suspected the bag of the passenger and asked him to open it.
“The sides of the bag was scotch tapped, removing it we found the drug been put in a plastic container. Confronting the passenger with that, he denied knowing what was hidden in the bag and that he was supposed to transport it to Thailand,” testified the inspector.
The court adjourned the case for verdict on January 18.
