Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has emphasised the importance of creating a new generation of young leaders who are capable of shaping the future of the UAE and the world in various fields.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid made the remarks on Wednesday, during a meeting held at the Dubai Executive Council to review the vision of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development, MBRCLD, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

"Youth are our true wealth. We equip them with knowledge and wisdom and provide them with training on the necessary innovative skills so they can develop a vision for the future of the UAE and of the entire world.

"I reviewed the Centre's new vision, which has translated the culture of the UAE in shaping the future and in building innovative leaders who are capable of resolving the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and enabling the country to achieve its Centennial Plan 2071. It is aimed at preparing future generations to live a happier life in a better environment, with bigger opportunities and stronger communication with the world," he added.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed pointed out that the Centennial Plan 2071 would also enable the UAE to achieve its development agenda and provide a boost to the ambitious plans of sending a mission to Mars.

The meeting was attended by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State.

The MBRCLD offers leadership programmes that aim to qualify the future leaderships of the UAE public and private sectors, in order to establish an assembly of uniquely talented individuals with distinguished potential, knowledge, skills and experience in all domains of the UAE.

The Centre has delivered over 500 training courses in the past 15 years that have resulted in 600 leaders in different sectors.
