Impounded cars could be auctioned: municipality

The Abu Dhabi municipality has warned owners of impounded vehicles they could be auctioned if they do not collect them after payment of fees.

In a statement published in local newspapers on Thursday, the municipality said it had 781 impounded cars, including 133 vehicles which have been seized for more than a year because of prolonged parking in open areas.

“Owners of the impounded cars are requested to come and collect their vehicles within 10 days otherwise they will be auctioned,” it said.
