Man saved after neck slashed

Saudi doctors saved the life of a man who tried to commit a suicide by slashing his own neck with a kitchen knife, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The unnamed man was rushed to hospital in the Western town of Medinah with deep wounds in his throat and most of his neck.

“Doctors raced against time to save his life. They succeeded in reconstructing his throat and other parts of his neck in an operation that last more than four hours,” the Arabic language daily ‘Ajel’ said.
