Indian residents in the UAE looking to fly back home can grab some good deals with leading airlines in the country.

These offers come in time as Indian schools will soon be on holiday end of March, as the academic year comes to an end for them.

Students are given off a week or so before the new session starts in April and many families take advantage of this leave period, which sometimes coincides with the Indian festival of Holi, to fly back to spend time with family and friends.

Sharjah-based Air Arabia is running its online 48-hour offer for flights from Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah. It has slashed fares to 19 selected destinations starting from Dh270 return all-inclusive.

To avail of the deal, passengers need to book today (February 16, 2016) to fly until April 30, 2016.

The return fares are cheapest for regional destinations like Muscat for Dh270 but Indian cities are also on the list.

If you’re flying from Sharjah, a return ticket to Bangalore will cost Dh863, to Mumbai Dh920 and to Chennai Dh1,161.

Emirates too is running its special fares. You can fly to Mumbai for Dh880 return. The tickets should be booked until February 20 for travel period between February 12 until the November 30, 2016.

Besides the popular Indian destinations, airlines have deals on tickets for other cities too.

The Air Arabia offer is also applicable to cities like Doha from Ras Al Khaimah (Dh399), to Kuwait (Dh449), Karachi (Dh680) and Beirut (Dh699), among several others.

Etihad Airways too is offering special fares in business and economy class to some of the airline’s popular destinations. The sale is valid until February 22, 2016.
