Sunshine Cruz has left the house she shared for years with Cesar Montaño, by whom she has three daughters, signalling her decision to finally set him free, owing to his alleged affair with Krista Miller.

Showbiz insiders have told Jimi Escala of the tabloid ‘Balita’ recently that Cruz and her daughters are now living in a house she owns near her mother’s place, leaving their old house empty as they had taken their things with them.

Two weeks ago, Manila’s tinsel town was abuzz with news that Cruz was all set to leave Montaño and go back to acting, and that her manager Alfie Lorenzo has already secured two projects for her with ABS-CBN.

The rift between the couple stemmed from Montaño’s rumoured relationship with his leading woman Krista Miller in the movie ‘The Turning Cradle: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim’.

Miller has at least two bedroom scenes in the movie, a new biopic of re-electionist Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and shown in theatres all over Metro Manila last month, but not with Montaño, who is the star, director and line producer of the movie.

Sunshine, a popular singer-actress before she married Montaño in September 2000, recently said in a TV interview that it was time to let go of her husband after she had lied, cried and fought for him.

She has also changed her Twitter account to “@sunshinecruz77” from “@shinemontano”.

She said she is excited to be an actress again after 13 years of marriage with Montaño and that she has to work hard for her children.

Montaño, a multi-awarded actor, has a history of having a way with girls—a ladies’ man with good looks, tantalising eyes and endearing nature. The dimpled Montaño also writes songs, plays the guitar, sings and paints.
