Pakistan flag carrier, PIA, has announced it is restricting its flight schedule until January 10 due to bad weather.

The airline has been rescheduling flights in and out of Lahore as heavy fog shrouds the city these past few days, reducing visibility and resulting in the temporary closure of its runway on several occasions.

In a statement, PIA said: “Due to heavy fog and bad weather, to avoid inconvenience to people, it is decided to restrict flights from Lahore during 11am to 6pm till January 10.

“We apologise to our passengers for the inconvenience that weather has caused, which has been beyond our control.”

The airline has also urged passengers to confirm their flight times prior to leaving for the airport to avoid inconvenience.
