Prison inmate smuggles drugs inside belly

Prison authorities in Kuwait seized an inmate while trying to smuggle drugs inside his intestines after a visit to hospital for a routine check up, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The inmate was about to return to his cell after hospital examination when he was stopped by the guards, Alanba said.

“Acting on a tip-off, the prison authorities subjected the man to an x-ray, which showed he had drugs inside his belly,” it said.

“The inmate later confessed that he had smuggled drugs many times for another inmate, who is a known narcotics dealer.”
