3-year-old saves dad from death

A Saudi court refused to issue death sentence against a man convicted of killing his wife after learning he has a three-year-old son.

Relatives of the victims had rejected diya (blood money) and insisted on the execution of the husband, who was found guilty of shooting his wife after an argument at their home in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

“The court rejected the relatives’ demand since the convict has a three-year-old son,” ‘Sabq’ newspaper said without mentioning how the court would punish the defendant.
