35-year-old Saudi to give away Dh1 billion
A 35-year-old Saudi man has decided to donate SR1 billion (Dh1bn) for charity, nearly half his total wealth, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Monday.
‘Ajel’ Arabic language daily said a business official at the Riyadh chamber of commerce and industry revealed the man’s intentions on his Twitter page.
“This man has decided to donate half his wealth or around SR1bn for benevolent work,” said Badr Al Rajhi, director of Islamic endowments at the chamber.
“This is really very good news….may God the Almighty preserve and have mercy on this man,” ‘Ajel’ quoted Al Rajhi as saying without giving further details.
