$65m needed to rebuild houses in Aden

To rehabilitate and rebuild houses destroyed by war in Yemen, about 14 billion rial ($65 million) is needed, according to a senior Yemeni official.

Yasser Al Serari, Director of Public Works Office, Governorate of Aden, said following a visit by Mohammed Shazli, Undersecretary of the Governorate, to the Office to review progress of work of a team assigned to assess and document damage caused by the barbaric war being waged by the rebel Houthi-Saleh militias.  

He said the team has recorded damage to 1,090 houses up to end-December 2015.
