90-year-old Saudi loses fight for life

A  90-year-old Saudi man who returned to life after his heart stopped for nearly an hour following electric shock treatment has died.

Doctors at a clinic had pronounced the man dead after his heart stopped and asked family to take home for burial at his western Saudi town of Qunfudah.

But they decided to rush him to a hospital nearly 70 km away and doctors there managed to bring him back to life after electric shock treatment of his heart.

“The man was then moved to the intensive care unit…he stayed there for a few hours then died,” Sabq newspaper said, quoting the hospital management.
