Five-year-old Mahasen of Saudi Arabia survived a big fire at her house when she was nearly eight months old but the scars are still clear on her head and hand.

While her father appears to have coped with the fire scars, he makes clear he can not cope with another scar his daughter can no longer laugh or cry.

Faisal Al Maliki is now pointing a finger at the hospital, where his daughter was treated of the effects of the fire that destroyed her house in the southern province of Jazan more than four years ago.

The fire damaged her scalp, left side of the face and her left hand.

“My daughter can neither laugh nor cry…she can not express her happiness or sadness,” Maliki said, according to Alwatan newspaper.

“My daughter was subject to a medical error while she stayed at the hospital.. I have demanded an investigation into her case.”

The paper quoted sources at King Fahd Hospital as denying such charges, saying the child has been suffering from such symptoms since birth. “Her parents made a statement on her case when she was admitted to hospital with burns,” one source said.
