Asian ends life on pavement in Saudi

An Asian man holding a rope climbed a tree on a pavement in Saudi Arabia, tied the rope to a branch and to his neck and jumped down, instantly ending his life.

Horrified passers-by phoned the police who rushed to the area in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah and pulled down the dead man.

“He committed a suicide in front of people…police are still investigating the man’s motives,” Alsaudeh Arabic language daily said.
