Baby drowns in water bucket

A Saudi baby died after falling into a bucket used by his family to collect water leaking from the air condition, Okaz daily reported on  Saturday.

The baby, aged below two years, crept towards the full bucket and stood up before losing balance and falling into the water at his house in the southwestern town of Samita, the paper said.

“His parents said it was an accident caused by their negligence,” it said, quoting civil defence spokesman Captain Yehya Alqahtani.
