Boy commits suicide

A Saudi12-year-old boy committed a suicide by hanging himself at his house in the Gulf Kingdom because he was apparently scared of his mother, the Arabic language daily Alriyadh reported on Saturday.

Relatives saw the dead boy hanged by a metal chain tightened around his neck just after Friday’s open air prayers in the southwestern town of Samita, it said.

Police are investigating the incident but the paper quoted security sources as saying the boy apparently hanged himself because he was scared of his mother after he returned home late.
