Child dug his own grave

A Saudi child who was playing with his friends in digging pits had clearly not known he was digging his own grave. When the pit was deep enough, it collapsed and buried him inside.

Friends battled in vain to pull the 11-year-old boy out, prompting them to rush for his family. But it was too late when relatives arrived.

“The boy was later pulled out and taken to hospital but he was dead,” the Saudi daily Aljazirah reported from the southwestern town of Samitah on Monday.
