Chinese pilgrim ends life in Saudi

A Chinese woman visiting Saudi Arabia for Umrah (mini pilgrimage) committed a suicide just after performing the rituals inside the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Monday.

'Sabq' newspaper quoted police as saying the woman stood on a chair and climbed up a wall in a high place in the Mosque before jumping down.

It said police took the body to the coroner and opened an investigation into the incident.
