84-year-old divorced from teen wife by court

A Saudi court divorced an 84-year-old man from his minor wife - who is yet to complete 15 years - and referred the judge who conducted their wedding for investigation.

According to social media, where the case has gone viral, the incident came to light when the husband moved the court to complain against his wife because she was not allowing him to sleep with her.

The old man requested the court that he should be returned SR90,000 that he paid as dowry.

According to sources, the girl’s father suffers from mental illness.
